Support Disability Africa

On September 22, 2024, we will run 16 kilometers in the Dam tot Damloop – the largest running event in the Netherlands – to raise funds for the Gunjur Inclusion Project. A project of the charity Disability Africa to improve the lives of disabled children in the Gunjur region in The Gambia.

At the Gunjur Inclusion Center, children with disabilities – who often live in isolation because of a mix of stigma, negative attitudes, lack of information and poverty – come to play. In addition to developing motor and social skills, they also receive medical care and a warm meal at the Center.

Our goal as a team is to raise funds for the daily operations of the Center and for a new minivan to be purchased. Reliable transportation is desperately needed to transport the children to and from the Gunjur Inclusion Center and take them to medical appointments. For children living in remote areas, this transportation is a lifeline.

We greatly appreciate your contribution and will ensure every euro goes directly to the children of the Gunjur Inclusion Project!

How can your donation make a difference?

  • €25 – One day of medical support for the project: from everyday first aid to coordinating vital surgery for disabled children.
  • €50 – One day of transportation for all children to and from the Gunjur Inclusion Center.
  • €100 – One month of physical therapy for one child.
