Village of Hope

Village of Hope in Ghana has been sheltering vulnerable and orphaned children for 27 years to give them a better future.

Village of Hope is a humanitarian non-governmental organization based in Ghana, whose mission is to save lives and serve humanity. They do this by providing child care, education, health care and vocational training. For more than 27 years, Village of Hope has been caring for orphaned and vulnerable children to give them a better future. They currently care for 115 children in elementary school (resident), 32 children in high school, 56 children in college and 40 children in vocational training. They provide them with education, food and clothing, and offer essential medical care when they are sick.

Village of Hope believes that without adequate health care, saving, restoring, preparing and advancing each individual would be insufficient. So they established Hope Hospital: a 24-hour medical facility with a neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital offers optometry/eye care, dentistry, maternal care and laboratory services. Both inpatients and outpatients are cared for by a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment. The hospital is accredited by the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency in Ghana and provides health care to the children and staff of the Village of Hope, as well as to the people of 30 surrounding rural communities.

But despite the great work the hospital staff does to save lives, there are challenges the hospital faces that hinder the quality of care for patients. One of the challenges is the lack of certain equipment, which makes it difficult to perform certain functions in the hospital. Patients in critical condition are sometimes referred to other health facilities miles away, putting their lives at risk.

Therefore, Campo Charity Foundation decided to support the Village of Hope in purchasing medical equipment for the hospital in order to increase the quality of health care to their clients, especially the children of the Village of Hope. Every euro counts, and we greatly appreciate your support.
